Mobile app development in Australia, This is a real story of how you can destroy a fantastic idea by wrong decisions
part-2

Remote Mobile app development in Australia is cost effective since the local one is expensive, first you need to understand how you manage your budget over important things toward the marketing phase, then you can focus on your idea and functionalities.

When I started working with a remote developer in India, I didn’t have that much experience of working remotely. So by the time I used some tools like Slack and Trello for task management and communication. Even though managing two people from two different time zones has been quite challenging, I did very well and my mobile app gradually shaped in a good way.

After 3 milestones that I already paid over 3000USD to that Indian developer, the iOS version progressed faster and I felt I have less control on the remote developer in India. That guy had a very good rating on UpWork and always tried to be responsive.

Turning Point

One day, I called it “turning point”, I texted him to have a short review meeting. You know what I’m going to say. No response! I called him, no answer! Email, I got nothing ! Can you imagine how I  felt? How remote mobile app development could be risky? I wish I worked with a company but not with a solo developer!

After almost 3 months working on the Android app, the Indian guy disappeared. It was as easy as I say. I contacted UpWork, they told me what you paid is gone and we can’t take it back to you. Taking the money back is one concern but the main trouble was 3 months time and energy! How could I get my motivation back? I just had an apk but no source code.

Don’t ever make decision when you are not focused

Finally, I made a decision. “OK, I will focus on the iOS version and finish it, then at least have one completed app in my hand to show over”. This is what I told myself. So the more I experienced, the more I found remote mobile app development in Australia is beneficial. However, working with solo developers is risky.

In the next part I will tell you how I finished half of my project and How I lost motivation by feeling that I have done something with no result!
